Terms of service
Last updated: 28 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you (and the organisation you sign up for) and the operator of this service (“we”, “us”) for the use of Compliance Portal (the “service”). By creating an account you agree to them.
1. The service
The service helps registered training organisations and the people who work with them prepare compliance documents, such as Training and Assessment Strategies and session plans. It reads public information from training.gov.au and NCVER.
2. Not professional advice
The service is a tool. Its suggestions and checks do not replace the judgement of a qualified compliance professional, and we do not guarantee that a document made with it will satisfy ASQA or any other regulator. You are responsible for reviewing documents before you use them and for your organisation’s compliance.
3. Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Workspace owners and admins decide who joins their workspace and what each person can do.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone has used your account without permission.
4. Your content
You keep all rights in what you put into the service and the documents you make. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you. You can download a backup and delete your workspace at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t use the service to break the law, to upload material you don’t have the right to use, to try to reach other customers’ data, to overload or attack the service, or to resell it without our written agreement.
6. Trials, plans and payment
- New workspaces may start with a free trial. When it ends, the workspace becomes read-only until a plan is chosen.
- Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay and include GST where it applies.
- You can cancel at any time; the plan runs to the end of the period already paid. We don’t give refunds for part periods, except where the law requires (nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law).
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and secure, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance. We may improve or change features. If we stop offering the service, we will give at least 60 days’ notice so you can download your data.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Suspension and ending
We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms or doesn’t pay, after notice where reasonable. You may close your account at any time.
10. General
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. We may update them; we will tell you by email or in the service before important changes take effect. Questions: support.
